The Academy of Hotel Management offers a three and four-year Bachelor programme for its 500 students. The BBA programme is internationally accredited by UNWTO. The Academy of Facility management offers a three and four-year Bachelor programme for its 450 students. This BBA programme is internationally recognised by IFMA. With regard to the overall presence in society of the Hospitality and Facility industry “People, Planet, Profit” are defined as challenging perspectives.

The programmes have been developed in close collaboration with international professionals and are completely in English. Key notions are action learning, competency oriented, demand driven education, assessments, quality. Imagineering and internationalisation are spearheads for staff and students alike.

Tutor, study career coach 1 fte

Job profile

You will be coaching, guiding and assessing students during problem based learning sessions, project work and placement. You will also be responsible for delivering workshops & traing sessions. And you will also be involved in contributing to the organisation-development of the academies and possibly in research projects.

Candidate profile

You have a relevant academic degree in a related field and knowledge, experience and/ or affinity with either the hospitality or facility industry. You have teaching experience in higher professional education and experience with competency-based learning or the willingness to do a training in didactical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English), interpersonal and organizational skills is essential and familiarity with modern educational views within the higher education could be to your advantage.

Salary & Benefits

NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences is used to offer help and experienced in organisation and facilities for costs of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch Tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad (which makes tax rates comparable to the UK and US). The salary for this position will be at level 9 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning a monthly maximum of € 3390,87 gross (full-time). You will get a fixed annual benefit of 8, 3%. Apart from this, NHTV University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance, a compensation for your Health Insurance and several compensations for sports activities.
